We Founder Circle is leading an undisclosed Pre Seed funding round for Uma Robotics


We Founder Circle reported Tuesday that Uma Robotics received an undisclosed amount in a pre seed round. The funds will be used for expanding the engineering team, developing the business, constructing infrastructure and purchasing gear and software to support R&D.

Automation and efficient logistics are key factors in any industry’s growth, especially in the era Industry 4.0. Automation is slowly being adopted by large companies, but it is still far beyond the reach for smaller and mid-sized businesses as well as other industries like mining, construction and agriculture,” stated Bhawna Bhatnagar of We Founder Circle.

Uma Robotics was founded by Suchit Sharma who has over ten years’ experience in the robotics sector. It offers IoT, logistics, automation and IoT solutions that help warehouse and industrial sectors lower costs. Uma Robotics allows for robotic-led heavy box and bag handling. Uma Robotics is one of six startups WFC has funded from its first cohort under the EvolveX Global Accelerator programme. Uma Robotics won the STPI Chunauti 2.0 competition and received an investment of INR 25 lakh from Pontaq Ventures. IIT Roorkee presented the company with a Nidhi Pravas grant of INR 10 million in May 2022.
