A plant-based meat company Shaka Harry has raised an undisclosed amount from the former Indian captain and cricketer MS Dhoni.
Liberate Foods’ subsidiary is Shaka Harry. It offers a range of meats and snacks made from plant-based food items. Some of its offerings include filled chicken parathas, the mutton keema dish patties for chicken burgers, as well as chicken fries.
Shaka Harry is expected to enter into an alliance with Dhoni by using its current campaign to increase the reach of customers and launch new products. Shaka Harry states that its products do not contain cholesterol and contains no trans fat.
It claims that it will serve over 30,000 customers each month across ten cities throughout the next few months. According to Inc42 the nation’s D2C sector is predicted to be at least $100 billion in 2025. The online retail sector is predicted to reach $200 billion in 2026.
