New Delhi: A student in the final year of the Safdarjung Hospital here allegedly hanged herself in a dormitory room the police reported on Thursday.
The police station at the hospital was informed regarding the incident around 3.30 early on Thursday morning, they added.
The student, a native of Delhi was staying at the Girls MBBS Hostel, Safdarjung Hospital.
Police arrived at the scene and located that the last-year MBBS student she was working on her internship at Safdarjung Hospital, hanging by her neck wearing an oversized scarf in an area in the MBBS Hostel the The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Manoj C told.

The student was transported into the emergency room at the hospital, where they declared her deceased upon the arrival. A suicide note that was written in handwriting was discovered in the diary belonging to the person who died, according to police.
Two empty containers of antidepressant medication were also discovered in the room. The conversations of her friends were recorded, and no evidence of foul play was found the police said.
The relatives of the deceased been to the site as well and their testimony is being recorded. The next inquest process is currently taking place, police stated.
