Gurgaon-based, creator-led business startup Wishlink has received $3 million from an initial round of funding that was led by Elevation Capital and prominent angel investors, which includes Vidit Aatrey, Sanjeev Barnwal (Meesho), Rahul Chaudhary (Treebo), Ankush Sachdeva (Sharechat), Ghazal Alagh (Mamaearth) Shantanu Dashpande (Bombay Shaving Company), among others.
It was founded by IIT-Delhi graduates Chandan Yadav, Shaurya Gupta, and Divyansh Ameta, Wishlink enables creators using Facebook and other social platforms to create the sales for brands through their multi-brand storefronts that are personalized.
The startup claims it is driving traffic and sales to more than 60 companies like H&M, Westside, Faballey, Indya, Aurelia, Wrogn, Libas, G.O.A.T Labs, and other e-commerce platforms which include Amazon, Flipkart and Ajio.
The company claims it has enticed nearly two million people to associate with brands, with a steady 60% growth month-on-month in users over the past three months.
“We believe in the ability for creators and their work to affect consumer behavior. Their influence and distribution were restricted to one-off collaborations paid for by brands. We’ve developed the infrastructure which will allow creators to select brands they believe in and to profit from their influence on revenue and traffic they are in a position to drive to websites of the brands,” said Shaurya Gupta co-founder of Wishlink.
On the subject of this investment Amit Aggarwal who is the Principal of Elevation Capital, said, “”We are believers in the potential of the creator economy to help empower the individual creators and influencers. However, unlocking this will require developing platforms that target huge income sources and, consequently, potential opportunities for them like commerce. We’re sure that Wishlink is a leader in this field.”
