India hosts now the developer platform GitHub for Startups

GitHub is an open-source platform for software development. It announced Tuesday that it had opened its platform to Indian developers to help support India’s startup ecosystem.

Qualified entrepreneurs from India and around the globe will receive up to 20 seats in GitHub Enterprise for a year. They also get guidance and help from GitHub technical experts.

Thomas Dohmke CEO of GitHub says, “As the global hub for developers, it’s our obligation to provide entrepreneurs access to our extensive developer platform so that anyone can quickly turn their ideas into the next great startup.”

GitHub is owned by Microsoft and has more than 7.2 Million developers in India. It also has more than 83,000,000 worldwide.

GitHub for Startups was launched earlier this year and has helped hundreds of startups, including a few from India, to collaborate and produce, secure, and harness the speed of their creation.

GitHub has partnered with top accelerators and venture capital firms to make its developer platform accessible to companies within their ecosystems.

GitHub for Startups is the best technical manager sidekick. Thanks to its strong CI/CD capabilities, we automated processes such as testing, publishing, and linting. This saved us countless hours,” Madhav Krishna, founder and CEO of Vahan, stated.

According to Github, all users will need to use two-factor authentication (FA) by 2023.
