Freshsharp, raises $125K under the leadership of Ok Acquired

Freshsharp, a Patna-based meat delivery company, has raised $125,000 through a seed round led by Ok Acquired (lending partner by a corporate lending finance company) and angel investors Syed Akbar Raza Ahmed & Hussain Ahmad.

Freshsharp was founded by Majaz Haz Hassan in December 2020. It said that it has developed a supply network network across many Indian cities so that it can procure meats and seafood and keep them fresh for delivery within hours.

The capital will be used by the startup to provide financial and technological support to its businesses to increase their growth.

“Freshsharp strives to provide the best services possible through supply chain, technology and services that benefit traditional farmers and communities. We will use the funds raised to strengthen our ecosystem to meet the necessities of small and traditional vendors, dealers/distributors, farmer communities, processors and retailers,” said Majaz Hassan.

Majaz is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Engineering & Management in Kolkata. He also stated that the startup also deals with the B2B sector and has formed many partnerships with restaurants and hotels, cloud kitchens and other institutions.

Freshsharp claims that it has experienced a growth of 200% and has served customers across Darbhanga Patna, Kolkata and other parts of India.

Sujit Jha (Managing Director & CEO of Ok Acquired), spoke about the investment. He said that he was delighted to support Freshsharp’s growth in empowering small businesses across the entire meat value chain. Freshsharp is a key player in providing new markets and payment assurance to suppliers in the meat industry. The platform gives strength to local ecosystem players, helping them grow their business without affecting margins. This creates a positive impact.

Freshsharp is the best place to supply fresh meat and seafood in India. Hussain Ahmed said.
