BYJU’S failed again to pay Blackstone’s bills


According to reports, BYJU’s has missed another deadline to pay INR 1,500 crore to Blackstone in an apparent setback.

These dues could be related to the INR 7,300 cr acquisition of Aakash Educational Services, a tutorial chain, in April last year.

BYJU’s promised to pay Blackstone between INR 1,500 Cr and INR 1,620 Cro by June 2022.

This is in addition to the amount owed to the private capital firm. The audited financial statements for fiscal year 2020-21 (FY21) released by BYJU’s earlier this month stated that all outstanding payments to Blackstone would be made by September 23.
